Kolleboyina Jayaramulu (Ram) is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry at the Indian Institute of Technology Jammu (IIT Jammu) and a Visiting Professor at the Centre for Energy and Environmental Technologies, VSB -Technical University of Ostrava, Czech Republic here at IIT Jammu he served as Head Of Department until 2022. His extensive research expertise lies in hybrid porous materials, 2D materials, and their hybrids, focusing on diverse applications such as electrocatalysis, and environmental concerns (water purification, gas storage/separation, harvesting).

Prior to his role at IIT Jammu, Ram served as a senior researcher at the Regional Centre of Advanced Technologies and Materials in the Czech Republic and the Technical University Munich in Germany. He is a recipient of the Alexander von Humboldt Postdoctoral Fellowship in Germany and an ICMS Postdoctoral Fellowship. Ram’s impactful contributions in the field of hybrid porous materials are reflected in his publications in renowned international journals, including Advanced Materials, Angewandte Chemie, Advanced Functional Materials, Nature Communications, and recognition in Advanced Engineering News and Advanced Science News. His research has been featured in various cover arts, showcasing the significance of his work in the scientific community.
